EMCVenues was founded in 2001 by a team of industry leaders who shared a vision and had the passion for connecting meeting buyers and suppliers. The original company mission was to provide sourcing support services by finding the right venue for meeting planning customers and placing them in specially selected Exceptional Meeting and Conference Venues.
It wasn't long before EMCVenues realized that the meeting and conference planning industry was moving toward online event management products and meeting facilitation services. By 2004, with the support and advice from its Customer Advisory Council, EMCVenues created an online venue marketplace, known as EMCVenueFinder – a search tool for finding exceptional meeting and conference venues, including conference centers, meeting hotels, and resorts. In 2006, EMCVenues expanded its product line and added a collection of online software products to best meet the changing demands and service requests of its customers.
